The enhanced portal for the Registry of Beneficial Owners is now live, enabling electronic registration and data access at https://irms.tax.gov.me, as announced by the Tax Administration (TA).

According to the statement, “The technical prerequisites for registration and access remain consistent, and all relevant information is readily accessible on the portal’s homepage.”

The Tax Administration highlighted a significant advancement towards digitalization and transparency, noting that this portal is the first electronic service launched under the Tax Administration’s Integrated Revenue Management System (IRMS), developed in collaboration with the World Bank (WB) through the Tax Administration Reform Project (RARP).

As stated, “IRMS is a vital software tool for modernizing and digitalizing tax administration, providing a basis for enhanced revenue management, improved taxpayer services, and stronger institutional backing for the entire tax system.”

The new portal represents an initial step toward these objectives, offering a modern, secure, and user-friendly electronic service with an enriched experience.

The Public Administration encourages all users to explore the portal’s features and to register in line with the applicable regulations.

Representatives from the Tax Administration announced that starting next year, they will fully transition to the new Integrated Revenue Management System, which will replace outdated information systems, simplifying compliance and boosting the level of voluntary tax adherence.
