Harden Dominates Against Bulls as Vučević Sits Out Again with Calf Injury
The Los Angeles Clippers triumphed over the Chicago Bulls with a score of 122:117 last night, putting an end to their three-game losing streak in the NBA.
Montenegrin center Nikola Vučević was absent from the match due to a calf injury.
James Harden spearheaded the visitors’ victory, scoring 30 points, which included a critical three-pointer with just 14 seconds remaining, extending the Clippers’ lead to six points (120:114).
In addition to his scoring, Harden tallied six assists, stepping up in the absence of the team’s leading scorer, Norman Powell, who missed his fourth straight game with a knee injury.
Amir Kofi contributed 20 points for the Clippers, while Kawhi Leonard added 17 points, eight rebounds, and four assists. Bogdan Bogdanović finished with 14 points (shooting 4/5 from three-point range) and six assists.
On the Bulls’ side, Zach Collins registered a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds, complemented by seven assists, while Josh Giddy also achieved a double-double with 21 points, 12 assists, and eight steals.
Portland claimed a 129:121 victory over Washington on the road, marking their third consecutive win.
The guests maintained the lead throughout much of the game, highlighted by a sensational one-handed dunk from Portland’s Shaydon Sharp in the second quarter.
Sharp was the standout player for his team, racking up 36 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, while Anfernee Simons (with five assists and four rebounds) and Scott Henderson each contributed 16 points. Jordan Poole led Washington with 24 points and five steals, while Rishon Holmes (five rebounds) and Corey Kispert both scored 20 points.
In another game, Detroit triumphed over Boston 117:97 at home, securing their eighth straight victory. Malik Beasley was exceptional for Detroit, scoring 26 points and grabbing five rebounds. Cade Cunningham achieved a double-double with 21 points and 11 assists, while Tobias Harris contributed 16 points, including nine steals. Jayson Tatum was the top performer for the reigning NBA champions with 27 points and six steals, alongside Peyton Pritchard and Derrick White, each scoring 18 points.
Oklahoma City took down Brooklyn with a score of 129:121 on the road, fueled by 27 points from Shay Gilges-Alexander.
