Multiple media outlets in Kosovo covered a report from the Radio Television of Kosovo portal, featuring excerpts from an article by Željko Ivanović, the president of the Board of Managers of “Vijesti”.
The piece, titled “Montenegrin media focused on the address of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani” delivered in the United States, references the content from “Vijesti”.
“This highlights the effectiveness of diplomacy and lobbying from our neighboring countries.”
The outlet portrays it as a poignant and personal narrative about an unconventional political journey—a war child, as she identifies herself, who was stripped of everything by the politics of hatred (of Milošević and his associates), forced from her home, endured exile, suffering, and poverty, before eventually returning liberated to her homeland. Now, she stands on the grand stage in Washington.
“These were the most impactful 12 minutes any politician has utilized. This was solidified by the standing ovation received after her address,” the Montenegrin media states.
“Vijesti” reports that Osmani, who visited Congress, the Senate, and the State Department, was greeted with a standing ovation from two thousand attendees at the National Prayer Breakfast.
