The Montenegro national water polo team has drawn into Group A for the upcoming European Championship, alongside Spain, France, and Croatia.
Group B, Division A consists of Georgia, Hungary, Italy, and Greece.
During the draw, Montenegro was placed in the fourth hat of Division A.
Prior to the draw, the national teams were categorized into two divisions based on their performances in the last championship and the qualifiers.
The top eight teams are in Division 1 while the remaining eight are in Division 2, with both divisions split into groups of four teams each.
The top two teams from the Division 1 groups will progress to the quarterfinals, while the third and fourth-placed teams will face the top two teams from the Division 2 groups in the round of 16.
Montenegro’s group in the round of 16 will compete against the teams from Group A of Division B, which includes Serbia.
