“Detained for Threatening Common-Law Wife and Unlicensed Weapon Possession”

The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) in Podgorica has ordered the detention of an individual for up to 72 hours based on reasonable suspicion of committing the criminal offense of domestic violence or violence against a family community, alongside the criminal offense of illegal possession of weapons and explosives.
As stated by the ODT, the suspect reportedly threatened his common-law wife, claiming he would shoot her in the legs and leave her in a wheelchair.
During a search of properties associated with the suspect, authorities reportedly discovered ammunition, a pistol, and an extra pistol frame in one apartment, along with another pistol in a different location, according to the statement.
