Minor Found with Starter Gun to Face Misdemeanor Liability

During an inspection of a catering venue hosting a birthday party, Bijelo Polje police discovered a starting pistol lacking proper documentation in the possession of a 17-year-old minor. A misdemeanor charge has been filed against him.
“Officers from the Regional Security Center ‘North’ – Bijelo Polje Security Department, while conducting efforts to combat juvenile delinquency and uphold public order, carried out an inspection of a catering facility where a birthday celebration was taking place.”
“During this inspection, police officers confiscated a Zoraki starter pistol from a 17-year-old minor, who did not possess the necessary documentation,” the police statement indicated.
The minor’s statement was subsequently collected in the official premises of the Bijelo Polje Security Department, in the presence of his parents. A request will be submitted to initiate misdemeanor proceedings for violations of the Weapons Act.
The Police Directorate will continue to implement intensive measures in the upcoming period to maintain stable public order and peace, the statement concludes.
