Following their excellent qualifications in Kotor, the water polo team from Primorje has discovered their opponents for the group stage of the Eurocup.
The group features two teams from Italy and one from Greece – Ortigia, Trieste, and Panionios, as determined by the draw in Barcelona.
Ortigia, hailing from Syracuse in Sicily, reached the semi-finals of the previous season’s Italian Serie A and ultimately placed fourth, behind Pro Reka, Brescia, and their local rivals, Palermo.
Trieste, the other Italian competitor for Kotorana, concluded the last season in fifth place.
Panionios finished their season in fourth position as well, having lost in the playoffs of the Greek championship to the eventual champion, Olympiakos.
The two best teams from each of the four groups will advance to the knockout stage of the Eurocup.
