Sattler Tours Wastewater Treatment Facility Serving Tivat and Kotor

The European Union Ambassador to Montenegro, Johan Sattler, visited the Krtoli wastewater treatment facility that serves Tivat and Kotor, alongside the Mayor of Tivat, Željko Komnenović.

Stefan Čobanović, the director of the joint venture “Wastewater Treatment Plant – PPOV,” guided Sattler through the plant’s capabilities and technology. The tour also included Dragan Roganović, the director of Vodacom.

Environmental protection plays a crucial role in Montenegro’s process of joining the European Union, with a strong emphasis on wastewater treatment and the safeguarding of marine environments. This is particularly relevant as treated sewage water from facilities like the one in Krtoli is discharged into the sea.
