Jadran’s Compelling Performance at Kantrida
The Jadran water polo team maintained their dominance in the second match of the regional Premier League.
After defeating Solaris in the first round, the Montenegrin champions secured their second victory by overcoming Primorje with a score of 13:8 in Rijeka.
Within the first three and a half minutes, the Novljani were ahead 3:0. The home team responded, narrowing the gap to 3:2, and then briefly took the lead at 4:3 thanks to two goals from Darko Brguljan, a former Montenegrin national team player. However, Jadran quickly regained control of the match in Kantrida.
Brguljan later added his third goal, bringing the score to 7:6, but then Jadran went on a 5:0 run, clearly indicating their intent to take all points from this match.
In the winning team, Matej Čaraj netted three goals, while Dmitrij Holod and Ivan Nagaev contributed two each. Jovan Vujović, Lazar Vukićević, Danilo Radović, Martin Gardašević, Bojan Banićević, and Danilo Stupar each added one goal to the tally.
Jadran will compete in their third league match on Sunday, facing Mladost in Zagreb at 17:30.
