OSCG Hosts Prestigious FIVB Seminar for Volleyball Coaches
The “FIVB Coaches Course Level 3” coaching seminar concluded with a certificate presentation ceremony at the “VOCO” hotel in Podgorica.
Organized by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro, this eight-day seminar saw 18 coaches successfully complete the course, receiving their certificates from Veselin Vuković, the president of the OSCG coaching commission and a renowned volleyball coach.
Vuković took a moment to commend all the coaches for their achievements and wished them success in their future endeavors.
During his speech, seminar director Gustavo Mečik expressed gratitude to the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro for the seminar’s impeccable organization. Despite being unable to attend in person due to circumstances in Israel, he appreciated the OSCG’s efforts to ensure the seminar ran smoothly.
The closing ceremony, along with the certificate distribution, was graced by the presence of Nikola Kažić, President of the OSCG, and Ivan Bošković, Secretary General of the OSCG.
The seminar featured 20 trainers from around the globe, including countries such as India, Singapore, Greece, Macau, Lebanon, North Macedonia, the Netherlands, England, Hungary, Kosovo, Turkey, and Cyprus. Ivan Joksimović represented Montenegro and also completed the seminar successfully. Lecturers included Gustavo Mečik and Ćengiz Akarčesme.
This initiative was made possible with the support of Olympic Solidarity, the Montenegrin Olympic Committee, and the Ministry of Sports and Youth of Montenegro.
The OSCG has previously hosted the “FIVB Coaches Course Level 1” (2016) and the “FIVB Coaches Course Level 2” (2018) and stands out as the only European association awarded the responsibility of organizing this top-tier seminar. This year, only five high-level seminars will be held globally, including locations in Nigeria, Ecuador, Jordan, and Algeria.
