Drezga Football Team Secures Third Place in Intense Frankfurt Competition

The Drezga football players from the 2014 generation achieved remarkable success at the international U11 tournament “Merk Supercup” in Frankfurt, securing third place among elite European clubs.

On their journey to the semi-finals, the Drezga boys triumphed over teams such as Ferencvaros, Hamburger, Knelingen, Altenburg, and Kickers Offenbach.

In the semi-finals, they faced off against Mainz, one of the tournament favorites, who ultimately lost in the final to Bayer Leverkusen.

Displaying resilience during the match for third place, Drezga defeated Stuttgart with a score of 2:1, thanks to goals from Mehmed Kurtagić and Vuk Golijanin, the latter of whom thrilled the crowd with a spectacular Euro goal. The team’s lineup included: Ilija Vukoje, Đorđe Vukoje, Ajman Sulejmanović, Andrija Simonović, Nedim Pepić, Nikolaj Đuranović, Vuk Golijanin, Balša Sekulović, Armin Skenderović, and Mehmed Kurtagić.

The team was coached by Janko Vukčević, with support from club representatives Lazar and Draško Martinović.

This Thursday, Drezga will embark on another international adventure, as the 2015, 2016, and 2017 generations will participate in a prestigious tournament in Budapest. Competing alongside Drezga will be notable clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Roma, Lazio, Anderlecht, and Feyenoord.

“The tournament in Budapest further confirms Drezga’s reputation as a prominent organization dedicated to nurturing children’s development through football and participating in significant international events. We would also like to acknowledge our vice-consul, Sanra Dacić from the Consulate General of Montenegro in Frankfurt, who was by the team’s side throughout the tournament, encouraging the children at every match and providing invaluable support that made a difference,” remarked FK Drezga.
