After their defeat to Jezero, Buducnost bounced back yesterday with a convincing 35:3 victory over Jedinstvo Franca in the first round of the MeridianBet First Montenegrin Football League.
The Blues reversed the score after Jedinstvo took an early lead in the eighth minute, courtesy of Medo Juković. Buducnost quickly equalized through Andrej Kostić, with Dragan Grivić completing the turnaround. Andrija Bulatović sealed the match with a stunning goal from approximately 40 meters out.
“Throughout the spring phase of the championship, our matches have featured a high number of goals and opportunities, which was also the case in our game against Jedinstvo in front of a vibrant crowd. I believe the Bijelo Polje supporters witnessed an entertaining match, even if they left the stadium disappointed by their team’s loss,” remarked Buducnost coach Ivan Brnović on the club’s website.
Brnović provided his analysis of the match in Bijelo Polje.
“We conceded a goal from their first shot, but thereafter, we controlled the match for the most part, resembling our performance throughout the entire championship. We dominated possession, capitalized on both transitions, and managed the game effectively until the end. Our attractive style of play deserves recognition, and all players should be commended for their excellent performance and well-deserved victory. There were many beautiful goals and plays that enhanced the match’s appeal. I also want to congratulate Jedinstvo for their effort as they pursue their goals with the season drawing to a close, and we are looking ahead to our last match in the championship against Dečice with a positive mindset,” Brnović added.
