Contribution to the Tivat Soup Kitchen
Croatian Caritas made a significant contribution to Caritas of the Kotor Diocese to support the soup kitchen that this humanitarian organization, affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church, operates in Tivat.
“We extend our gratitude to Croatian Caritas for the generous donation of 10,000 euros, which will provide approximately 3,500 meals for the beneficiaries of the ‘Caritas Soup Kitchen – Tivat’, currently serving 95 individuals,” announced Caritas of the Diocese of Kotor yesterday.
They noted the ongoing rise in food prices, stating, “This is particularly evident during the summer months when food costs can triple.”
“Thus, every form of assistance is crucial for us,” said the director of Caritas of the Kotor Diocese, priest Don Željko Pasković.
Pasković reminded the public that the “Caritas Soup Kitchen – Tivat” is situated in Pakovo, within part of the old Fire Station building, where all citizens in need can obtain at least one hot meal each day.
He also encouraged other donors, socially responsible companies, and businesspeople to contribute groceries to the Soup Kitchen or provide financial support directly to their account for the purchase of food and other essentials.
