Creative Expression by the Youngest Artists
This summer, the Association of Fine Artists of Kolašin has chosen to dedicate its annual painting colony to children. Rather than featuring established and renowned artists, this year’s event showcases the talents of young boys and girls. The children’s art colony kicked off on July 1st and will continue until July 5th.
According to the Association, the aim of this shift is to create space and provide encouragement for children who have already demonstrated an affinity for art.
“For years, children have been part of our colonies, observing the work of seasoned artists while having their own little ‘corner.’ This summer, we have opted to focus solely on them. The colony includes 15 talented boys and girls, and we are hosting it in the heart of the city, within the well-known flower garden of Desa Marković. She, along with Sara Bulatović, is assisting in guiding the children, offering advice, materials, and the support crucial for their initial steps in painting,” explains the Kolašin Association of Fine Artists.
The top works from this year’s children’s colony will be showcased at the exhibition “Women Painters of Kolašin,” scheduled for July 12th at 7 PM, also taking place in the flower garden of Desa Marković.
