“Luka Bar” AD has contributed 50,000 euros to the Bar Health Center in celebration of its 119 years of operation, designated for the acquisition of two ultrasound machines.

The company’s statement highlights this donation as a demonstration of their commitment to social responsibility and community support.

“Understanding its important social role within the community, the company has donated 50,000 euros to the public health system, specifically the Health Center in Bar, to procure an ultrasound machine for abdominal examinations for adults and another for pediatric hip assessments,” stated Luka Bar.

During the event commemorating the 119th anniversary of the Port of Bar, the President of the Board of Directors, Dušan Masoničić, alongside Executive Director Ilija Pješčić, presented the donation of 50,000 euros to Bojana Vuković, the director of the “Bar Health Center.”

The company expresses that this act reaffirms its dedication to the well-being of the local community.

This recent donation is seen as a continuation of the Port of Bar management’s initiatives over the past three years, including allocations made for the General Hospital in Bar in 2022 and 2024, aimed at purchasing ultrasound machines and advanced equipment for the treatment of kidney stones.

Pješčić emphasized that the intention behind the donation is to modernize the Bar Health Center with two ultrasound machines to enhance healthcare accessibility for patients.

He noted that the dedication and efforts of all “Luka Bar” AD employees have been pivotal in maintaining continuous successful operations, evidenced by positive business outcomes, increased transshipment, and revenue growth.

“With such stable business conditions, we are able to assist the public health system in Bar, the General Hospital, and the Health Center through donations, thereby offering better and higher-quality healthcare to all citizens. I believe this positive business trend will persist, allowing us to continue engaging in socially responsible practices that support and care for our community,” concluded Pješčić, as reported in the statement.
