DPM Aleksić Holds Meeting with Russian Ambassador Alexander Lukashik
Deputy Prime Minister for Education, Science, and Relations with Religious Communities Budimir Aleksić met today with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Montenegro, Alexander Lukashik.
The discussion centered on the possibilities for collaboration in education, science, and culture, with both parties acknowledging ample opportunities to elevate bilateral relations in these sectors. They recognized that the shared history and deep connections between the peoples of Montenegro and the Russian Federation necessitate further strengthening of their ties. Both underscored the essential need for humanity to advance towards peace and prosperity.
Deputy Prime Minister Aleksić highlighted the importance of considering Russia’s scientific, technological, and innovative capabilities in the framework of their bilateral cooperation. He also pointed out the long-standing tradition of Russian language instruction in Montenegro, which lays a strong groundwork for future collaboration. In recent years, there has been a significant rise in interest among Montenegrin citizens in learning the Russian language.
Ambassador Lukashik remarked that the populations of Montenegro and Russia possess profound connections across various aspects of life, including history, religion, and culture, and emphasized that these ties should be further nurtured for the mutual benefit of both nations.
