The qualifications and initial round of the group stage went flawlessly, and the players from Kotor are eager to maintain their victorious momentum in Europe.
In the second round of the Eurocup, the Primorac water polo team will host the Greek team Panionios tomorrow (Thursday) at 18:00.
“Novljan players Aleksa Ukropina and Nikola Moskov are part of Panionios, which includes former and current members of the Greek national team. They are a formidable opponent, but we are prepared for the challenge,” said Kotoran coach Zoran Maslovar.
In their opening match, Primorac secured a narrow victory over Trieste (9:8), while Panionios faced a loss against Ortiđa (13:12).
“We really need the backing of our fans to fuel our performance and clinch this match,” Maslovar emphasized in an interview with Radio Kotor. “Regardless, we are competing at home, and we will strive to showcase our team’s true potential once again. The atmosphere from our pool and the support of the audience give us a certain advantage.”
The top two teams from the group will qualify for the knockout stage of the Eurocup.
