Milatović Addresses NATO Parliamentary Assembly for the 30th Anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement

The President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, is set to visit the United States from tomorrow through Monday.
According to the announcement from the President’s Office, Milatović’s visit comes at the invitation of Mike Turner, the head of the American delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly and Congressman.
“During this trip, Milatović will participate in the NATO Parliamentary Assembly taking place in Dayton to mark the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement,” his office reported.
Additionally, he will engage in a high-level event, accompanying other leaders, where he is scheduled to deliver a speech.
The President’s Office indicated that a series of bilateral meetings with senior officials from the U.S. are also on the agenda.
“Given the strategic significance of the U.S. as a principal foreign policy ally of Montenegro, the discussions will focus on enhancing the alliance and advancing mutual cooperation,” the statement elaborated.
Emphasis will notably be placed on security, rule of law, and economic partnerships.
“This visit serves as a robust affirmation of Montenegro’s dedication to fortifying its strategic partnership with the U.S. and its active role in the Euro-Atlantic community,” the statement concluded.
