Cadet Volleyball Team Kicks Off Preparations for Balkan Championship
The U19 volleyball team from Montenegro convened in Pljevlja to kick off their training for the upcoming Balkan Championship, scheduled to take place in Banja Luka from July 9 to 13.
Coach Dejan Radić welcomed 16 volleyball players to the training camp.
Technicians include Aleksa Kovačević and Luka Milošević (Budućnost Volley); correctors: Luka Lojić and Filip Radić (Budućnost Volley); service receivers: Vuk Stanojević and Filip Milosavljević (Budva), Aleksa Radić and Kosta Poleksić (Budućnost Volley), Vasilije Božović (Galeb), and Mihajlo Grupković (Mornar); middle blockers: Vukota Čelebić and Luka Gavrilović (Budva), Uroš Konatar (Jedinstvo), and Vasilije Obradović (Galeb); liberos: Mirza Mujović (Jedinstvo) and Petar Milosavljević (Budva).
“The preparations have begun; this is our first gathering in Pljevlja, and I’ve heard many positive remarks about the facilities here. I’m eager to embark on the two-week training, which should provide ample time for proper preparation,” said Radić.
Joining him in coaching are assistant coach Mladen Novović and fitness coach Jovan Ristić.
The Montenegrin cadets will continue training in Pljevlja until July 8, when they will depart for Banja Luka. At the start of their preparations, they received a visit from Ivan Ječmenica, the director of the men’s national teams of the Armed Forces of Montenegro.
In the Balkan Championship, our team will compete against Serbia, Bulgaria, and Greece in Group B. Group A will feature the hosts Bosnia and Herzegovina, along with Turkey, Romania, and North Macedonia. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, while the remaining teams will compete for placement.
