Budva Victorious at “Olympic Hopes” Tournament; Primorac Claims 3rd Place Over Jadran

The prestigious “Olympic Hopes” tournament took place in Korčula, showcasing the talent of Budva’s young water polo athletes.
The cadets from Budva capped off their success with an 11:8 victory against Cavtat in the final. Earlier in the group stage, they triumphed over Jadran (8:6), Korčula (16:11), and Nikšić (19:6), with standout player Matija Franet being named the tournament’s best player.
The third-place match saw Primorac narrowly defeat Jadran from Herceg Novi with a score of 11:10.
In their group, Kotor bested Jug (12:10) and Aquatic Verde from Podgorica (13:5), but had to settle for second place following a draw with Cavtat (12:12) due to a lower goal difference.
After their loss to Budva, Jadran went on to defeat Korčula (17:8) and Nikšić (22:9).
Aquatic Verde secured the seventh position by beating Nikšić 9:5.
The “Olympic Hopes” tournament is an initiative by clubs from Montenegro and Dubrovnik-Neretva County, aimed at enhancing the quality of water polo and fostering connections among participants.
