Cleveland Clinches Playoff Spot with 20 Games Remaining; Oklahoma Follows Suit as Harden Nets 50 Points

The Cavaliers continue their winning streak, defeating Miami 112-107, and have now clinched a spot in the NBA playoffs with just 20 games remaining in the season.

This marks the 12th consecutive victory for the Cavs, driven by Donovan Mitchell, who scored 26 points.

In contrast, Bam Adebayo’s impressive performance of 34 points and 12 rebounds wasn’t sufficient to secure a win for the Florida team.

Oklahoma continues its strong run, topping Memphis 120-103, thanks to a stellar 41-point outing from Shay Gilges-Alexander.

This victory is the fifth in a row for the leading team in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, Boston triumphed over Portland with a score of 128-118, with teammates Peyton Pritchard and Derrick White making Celtics history by both scoring 40 or more points in the same game. Pritchard finished with 43 points, while White contributed 41.

The Los Angeles Clippers broke their three-game losing streak by winning 123-115 at home against Detroit. James Harden led the way with an extraordinary performance, scoring 50 points. He was supported by Bogdan Bogdanović with 23 points and Ivica Zubac with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

Cade Cunningham stood out for Detroit, recording a double-double with 37 points and 10 assists.

On the other hand, Denver defeated Sacramento 116-110, snapping its own streak of four consecutive losses.

Russell Westbrook was the standout player for Denver, scoring 25 points. Jamal Murray added 24 points along with eight assists, while Nikola Jokic delivered a noteworthy performance with 22 points, 15 rebounds, and six assists. Michael Porter Jr. also contributed significantly, achieving a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

DeMar DeRozan was Sacramento’s top player with 35 points, six rebounds, and five assists.
