Sicily Showdown: Primorac Challenges Undefeated Ortija

The two Kotor games showcased solid performances, though one felt somewhat lackluster. Now, attention turns to their first guest appearance in the Eurocup.

In the 3rd round of this prestigious LEN competition, the water polo team from Primorje is set to face off against Ortiđa in Syracuse, Sicily, at 3 PM today.

Under the guidance of Zoran Maslovar, the team triumphed over Trieste (9:8) in their opening match in front of their supporters. However, in a nail-biting contest during the second round, they lost to the formidable Panionios (10:9).

It seems that they are about to face their toughest challenge yet.

Ortiđa, still under the watchful eye of the legendary Italian goalkeeper Stefano Tempesti, has secured victories in both of their initial matches—triumphing 13:12 against Panionios and 12:11 over Trieste.

The path to the knockout phase of the Eurocup will see the top two teams from the group proceed.
