Strumica’s Volleyball Players Battle for Survival in the Golden League
The Montenegrin men’s volleyball team is currently in Strumica, where they are set to wrap up their inaugural participation in the CEV Golden European League this weekend.
Under the guidance of Coach Ivica Jevtić, the team is scheduled to compete against Israel on Saturday, June 21, followed by a match against the tournament hosts, North Macedonia, the following day. Both games are set to kick off at 20:00.
For the tournament taking place at the “Park” sports hall, which will commence tonight with a clash between Israel and North Macedonia, Coach Jevtić will have the same lineup available as in the Podgorica tournament, including:
Technicians Rastko Milenković, Marko Joksimović, and Danilo Dubak; service receivers Nemanja Peruničić, Vasilije Milenković, Benjamin Hadžisalihović, and Milan Rovčanin; setters Đorđe Jovović and Luka Lojić; middle blockers Nikola Đurović, Matija Ćinćur, and Dalibor Lečić; and liberos Andrija Joksimović and Stefan Radević.
In the previous two tournaments, our team faced defeats against Romania, the Czech Republic, and Finland, managing to secure a point in a match against Latvia. Croatia, which remains winless, has also earned a point, as has North Macedonia, which currently holds two points.
