Montenegrin Handball Team Heads to Finland After Training Session
The Montenegrin handball team will commence their preparations tomorrow for two crucial matches as they aim for a spot in the 2026 European Championship.
Under the guidance of Coach Didier Dinar, the squad will convene tomorrow to start their first training session during the EHF Week, and then they’ll head to Finland on Tuesday for a significant match!
Montenegro will face Finland on May 8th and will host Slovakia just three days later.
To qualify for the final tournament, the top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams from the eight qualifying groups, will progress.
Dinar faces challenges due to injuries affecting two key goalkeepers, Nebojša Simić and Nikola Matović, as they strive for their seventh consecutive and eighth overall appearance in the EHF Euro.
Currently, Montenegro holds five points, placing them second in the group, while Hungary leads with seven points, followed by Finland with four, and Slovakia at the bottom with none.
