What does it feel like to be Alexandre Serlot? Just last May, he scored four goals against the impressive Real Madrid, and this year, he outdid himself with record-breaking performance against Sociedad.

In an incredible half hour, the Norwegian striker made a memorable evening by netting a hat-trick between the 7th and 11th minutes, ultimately finishing with four goals within just half an hour and securing a 4:0 victory for Atletico Madrid over the club he once represented.

The “number nine” of the Metropolitano club set a record for the fastest hat-trick in La Liga history, becoming the first to score three times by the 11th minute of a match.

The previous record was held by Edmundo Suarez in 1941 and Đosep Bestit in 1929, both of whom required 15 minutes to score a hat-trick.

According to “Marca,” Serlot achieved his three goals in precisely three minutes and 57 seconds, making him the player with the fastest hat-trick in the 21st century.

The renowned Madrid newspaper notes that Kevin Gameiro scored three goals in four minutes and 44 seconds during the 2016/17 season, while David Villa took four minutes and 47 seconds in the same season, and former Almeria player Luis Suarez scored in five minutes and 24 seconds (2005/06).

With this performance, Serlot has tallied 18 goals in La Liga this season, helping Atletico maintain a solid third place in the Spanish league.
