Stefan Isakov was sentenced today by the Higher Court in Bijelo Polje to three years in prison for the offense of “serious violations of public traffic safety”.
Alongside the prison term, Judge Ivan Adamović’s panel has placed a two-year ban on driving category B motor vehicles, prohibiting the issuance of a driver’s license during this period.
The indictment states that on August 18, 2023, at 12:35 AM, Isakov operated a “Golf” vehicle traveling from Mojkovac towards Đurđevića Tara without a valid driver’s license or having completed the driving test.
According to the prosecutor’s report, he was speeding at 103 kilometers per hour, resulting in the vehicle swerving left, crossing the road, and ultimately rolling down the slope.
This incident tragically resulted in the death of passenger Nenad Lainović, while Ana Kosanović sustained severe injuries.
