Budva Riviera and Mornar to Face Off in Cup Final
The handball teams Budvanska Riviera and Mornar 7 will compete in the final of the Montenegrin Cup.
During the semi-finals at the “Bemax Arena,” Budva triumphed over the reigning champions Lovćen with a score of 28:23, while Mornar 7 also secured a win against Rudar with the same score.
This final marks Budva’s chance to claim their second Cup title, following their victory in 2023, while it will be Mornar 7’s first appearance in the final.
Leading Budva to victory were Aleksandar Glendža and Novak Bajčeta, each contributing seven goals. For Lovćen, Danilo Pajović and Vuk Mrvaljević each netted five goals.
On the Mornar 7 side, the standout performer was Božidar Nikočević with seven goals, and goalkeeper Filip Junković made an impressive 12 saves. Andrija Jokić was the top scorer for Pljevlja, also scoring seven goals.
The final is scheduled for Sunday at 18:00.
In the Women’s Handball Cup final, OTP Group Budućnost will face Levalea 2010 at 15:00.
