The matchup between two NBA powerhouses favored the home team, as Boston triumphed over the LA Lakers 111:101, bringing an end to the Lakers’ eight-game winning streak.

The formidable duo from the Celtics, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, outperformed their Lakers counterparts, Luka Doncic and LeBron James. Tatum achieved a double-double with 40 points and 12 rebounds, and also contributed eight assists in 46 minutes. Meanwhile, Jaylen Brown scored 31 points and grabbed six rebounds.

Dončić ended up being the second-highest scorer of the evening with 34 points, complemented by eight rebounds, but only managed three assists. James was just shy of a triple-double, finishing with 22 points and 14 rebounds, while missing all six of his three-point attempts.

Boston entered the final quarter with a commanding 20-point lead, rendering a Lakers defeat unavoidable, as the Celtics secured their position in second place in pursuit of defending their championship title.

In other news, Chicago celebrated a victory in Florida, despite Nikola Vucevic being sidelined for his seventh consecutive game due to injury. Josh Giddy shone with 26 points on the night.

Orlando pulled off a surprise win against Milwaukee, ending the game 111:109, even with Giannis Antetokounmpo performing admirably with 37 points.

Golden State continued their impressive run since the Jimmy Butler trade, claiming a victory over Detroit.
