“Lionesses: Spain, Paraguay, and the Faroe Islands Unite”

The Montenegrin women’s handball team has been placed in Group D for the World Championship, competing against Spain, the Faroe Islands, and Paraguay, as determined by the draw.
It was already known that Suzana Lazović’s squad would face the French team, and the recent draw has added both Spain and Paraguay to their group—Group D will take place in Trier, Germany.
Our team was drawn from the top tier.
During the preliminary stage of the World Cup, eight groups of four teams will compete, with the top three teams from each group advancing to the main round.
The best performance by the Montenegrin women’s handball team at a World Cup was in Japan in 2019, where they finished in fifth place.
The World Championship is set to occur from November 26 to December 14 in the Netherlands and Germany.
