The Luxembourg-American enterprise Corporación América Airports (CAAP), one of the contenders for the concession of Montenegrin airports, is required to submit its financial proposal in an Excel format to the Tender Commission, which it previously provided in a paper format.
This decision was made today during a meeting of the Tender Committee, which will resume its work upon receipt of this document, according to information obtained by “Vijesti” from insiders familiar with the process.
“The deadline for submitting this report is five working days,” a source informed “Vijesti,” noting that the minutes from the previous session were also approved today.
At the conclusion of the Tender Commission’s session for awarding concessions for Montenegrin airports on Tuesday, the financial bids were disclosed.
As reported previously by “Vijesti,” sources acquainted with the procedures stated that the second bidder, Incheon International Airport Corporation (IIAC), is proposing a fixed compensation of 100 million for the airports along with 35 percent of annual revenues as a variable concession fee.
“The Luxembourg-American company Corporación América Airports (CAAP) is presenting an offer of 101 million in fixed compensation and slightly over 17 percent of annual revenue as variable compensation,” a source disclosed to “Vijesti.”
Once the Tender Commission finalizes the assessment of the financial bids, it is expected to prepare a definitive report and forward it to the Ministry of Transport and the Government for a final ruling on whether to accept a bid or annul the tender.
The airports are scheduled to be leased for a duration of 30 years.
The announcement of the tender was made in 2019.
