Balkan Pioneers Championship Kicks Off Thursday in Pljevlja
The Montenegrin women’s pioneering volleyball team is currently in Pljevlja gearing up for the U16 Balkan Championship, set to take place from June 19 to 23 in Pljevlja, organized by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro. This tournament serves as a significant challenge for our young athletes ahead of the European Championship in Tirana and Pristina, happening from July 2 to 13.
Joining coach Petar Koković’s squad at the tournament will be national teams from Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, and North Macedonia.
Our pioneers will kick off the tournament on Thursday, June 19, with a match against the North Macedonian team, slated for 6:00 PM. The following day, they will compete against Greece, followed by a day of rest on Saturday. On Sunday, also at 6:00 PM, Montenegro will take on Bulgaria, and the tournament will wrap up on Monday with a match against Turkey.
All games will be hosted at the “Ada” Sports Center, with free entry for attendees.
Matches will be broadcasted on the official YouTube channel of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro and on the website of the Balkan Volleyball Association.
