The trial for the murder suspects is set to commence at the Higher Court in Podgorica on June 10. The accused include Miodrag Kruščić and Oliver Lakic for wounding.
A new special panel has been assigned to the case, which will be led by Radovan Vlaović, as confirmed by Ivana Vukmirović, an independent public relations consultant, to “Vijesti”.
The indictment includes Milan Vujotić, former police officer Darko Lalović, Filip Knezevic, Mario Milošević, Goran Rakočević, Veselin Bubanja, Filip Bešović, Luka Bulatović, Dejan Vukašinović, Branislav Karadzic, Goran Vukcevic, Mijalo Stojanovic, Aleksandar Ljumović, and Sanja Božović.
Additionally, they are charged with smuggling 554 kilograms of marijuana from Albania to Montenegro on January 26, 2021.
“The High Court’s decision (Kvso No. 39/23), issued on July 31 this year, ratified the indictment (Kt-S No. 265/20) filed by the Special State Prosecutor’s Office against 14 defendants: MV, GR, FB, FK, SB, VB, LB, DV, DL, BK, MM, MS, A.Lj., and GV. They face charges for forming a criminal organization, severe bodily harm, aggravated murder, murder incitement, illegal possession of weapons and explosives, and unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotic drugs. The indictment specifically addresses the attack on journalist Vijesti, Olivera Lakić, on May 8, 2018, the aggravated murder of Miodrag Kruščić on May 21, 2018, and the smuggling of 554 kg of marijuana from Albania to Montenegro on January 26, 2021,” stated special prosecutor and spokesperson for the Special State Prosecutor’s Office, Vukas Radonjić.
