“Despite Golubović’s Ties to Security Services and ‘Uncle’ Connections, Justice Prevails”
Dritan Abazović, the president of the Civic Movement URA, stated that Duško Golubović, a long-time agent of the National Security Agency (ANB) and former police officer, has been recognized for decades as a key figure in the criminal pyramid in Montenegro.
This morning, he expressed his support for the action taken by the Special State Prosecutor’s Office (SDT) and the Special Police Department that resulted in Golubović’s arrest.
“In spite of Golubović’s substantial influence within the security services, his connections with ‘uncles’, and his involvement in various dubious dealings against those who genuinely fight for the truth, justice has prevailed. We owe a significant debt of gratitude to Vladimir Novović, the head of the SDT, and particularly to Predrag Šuković, the head of the SPO, for their professional efforts,” Abazović shared on his Facebook account.
He further noted his anticipation for the initiation of proceedings regarding money laundering.
“Additionally, we will investigate a second scheme related to cigarette smuggling, which promises to unveil surprises. In the coming days and months, we expect significant developments in cases that must be addressed to establish a truly democratic society. Nothing will be overlooked – stay assured. Justice continues its course; we are moving towards a conclusive climax,” Abazović declared.
