Balkan Championship for Pioneers Kicks Off Thursday in Pljevlja
The Montenegrin women’s pioneering volleyball team is currently in Pljevlja gearing up for the U16 Balkan Championship, set to take place from June 19 to 23 in Pljevlja, organized by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro. This tournament serves as a significant opportunity for our young players ahead of the European Championship in Tirana and Pristina, scheduled for July 2 to 13.
Alongside coach Petar Koković’s team, national teams from Turkey, Bulgaria, Greece, and North Macedonia will also participate in the tournament.
The pioneers will kick off the tournament on Thursday, June 19, facing the North Macedonian team at 18:00. The following day, they will take on Greece, with a day of rest on Saturday. On Sunday, again at 18:00, Montenegro will compete against Bulgaria, and the tournament will wrap up on Monday with a match against Turkey.
All matches are set to take place at the “Ada” Sports Center, which will offer free admission.
