“Disciplined, Patient, and Efficient: Cadets Celebrate Opening of the UEFA Development Tournament”
The cadet football team from Montenegro kicked off the UEFA Development Tournament in Podgorica with a victory.
Montenegrin players triumphed over the Slovak national team with a score of 3:0 at the Football Association Training Camp.
This match showcased a brilliant performance from Radovan Kavaja’s squad, highlighted by an impressive goal from Petar Rešetar, which sealed the final outcome.
The goals for the Montenegrin team came from Mark Đokaj in the 47th minute, Vesko Čukić in the 57th, and Petar Rešetar, who netted a goal in the sixth minute of stoppage time.
Coach Kavaja commended his players’ performance, noting that they exhibited all the qualities of a competitive team.
“We were disciplined, patient, and efficient, which brings us great joy. The new players performed splendidly, contributing both in the game and during training. It’s worth mentioning that we were without five planned roster players due to injuries, and we hope to have them back soon. Our focus now is to recover and prepare for the challenging match against Serbia,” stated Coach Kavaja.
The Montenegrin team is set to face Serbia in the second round on May 9th at 18:00.
