With only four rounds remaining, Juventus is both close to and distant from qualifying for the Champions League, leading Italian media to speculate that Igor Tudor might rely on Vasilije Adžić for the crucial matches ahead.

The recent headline from “Tutosport” read, “Tudor, what are you waiting for?”, echoed by a similar sentiment from “Calçomercato”.

They emphasize, “Adžić could be an asset for the Croatian coach during the decisive Serie A matches.”

One thing is clear: the promising Montenegrin talent will not participate with Juventus’s youth team in the Serie C playoffs this season, as the regulations allow only players who have made 25 appearances in the league stage.

Yildiz’s Suspension and Kopmajners’ Struggles Create Opportunities

Adžić debuted for Juve in both the Champions League and Serie A last fall, showcasing his talent during the latter half of the season with the youth team.

Factors influencing his potential inclusion in the first team include Kenan Yildiz’s two-match suspension and Teun Kopmejners’ recent lack of form.

“The suspension of Yildiz, coupled with Kopmejners’ fitness issues, could pave the way for Adžić, given his preference for positions typically held by both players,” notes “Calçomercato”.

Adžić returned to the Juventus bench for the last two matches, marking his first time there since January when former coach Thiago Motta utilized him as a late substitute in the Milan derby.

Summer of Decisions: First Team or Loan, Possibly to Lecce

Media outlets in Italy indicate that irrespective of the season’s outcome, Juventus must contemplate Adžić’s future this summer.

“His time with the Next Gen team has been beneficial for Adžić, born in 2006, allowing him to rehabilitate and regain his competitive edge following muscle issues earlier this season. However, a further year in the youth setup isn’t viable for his growth. Hence, it’s vital for Adžić to either solidify a spot in the first team or go on loan, ideally to a mid-table Serie A club,” elaborated “Calçomercato”.

Reportedly, there has been preliminary communication with Lecce, contingent on their survival in Italy’s top division.

Should this occur, another Montenegrin, Nikola Krstović, might transition from Lecce to Juventus.

The Bianconeri are set to face Bologna and Lazio (key rivals for Champions League spots), along with Udinese and Venice before the season concludes. Currently, Igor Tudor’s side occupies fourth place, which qualifies them for the European elite.
