Duško Ivanović, the Montenegrin coach, will continue as the head coach of Virtus Bologna for the next season, regardless of the results achieved by the end of this current season.

Reports from Italian media indicate that Ivanovic’s contract no longer contains a clause requiring him to win the domestic championship to ensure his position with the Bologna team next season.

The decision to remove this clause was made by Virtus president Massimo Zanetti, in collaboration with CEO Marco Comellini and general manager Paolo Ronchi.

Ivanovic took over at Virtus in early December of last year, succeeding Luka Banki.

Currently, Virtus is positioned 17th in the Euroleague with seven wins and 21 losses, while holding second place in the Italian championship with a record of 16-5.
