The Pljevlja police have submitted a criminal complaint against Ž.M. (34) from Pljevlja, currently residing in Slovenia, for suspected forgery of documents and fraud.

“Investigations suggest that in 2021, he deceived a victim from Pljevlja regarding the import of a passenger vehicle, for which he received €3,300, and subsequently acquired a falsified customs declaration, thereby evading VAT and customs duties,” stated the Police Directorate.

Further checks indicated that a customs declaration for a different vehicle was tied to that particular number.

“Additionally, in another incident the same year, Ž.M. imported a vehicle for another victim who paid him €3,600 under the same pretext. He also procured a false customs declaration to register this vehicle, which was later found to be associated with the import of packaging for a business,” the report detailed.

Criminal charges have been filed against Ž.M. through standard legal channels.
