Montenegrin Volleyball Team Secures Set Victory Over Hungary
In their opening match at the CEV Golden European League final tournament, the Montenegrin women’s volleyball team fell to Hungary in Kaposvar, with a score of 3:1 (25:20, 23:25, 25:23, and 25:20).
Despite showcasing a strong performance against the home team, the Montenegrin squad couldn’t secure a significant win that would have greatly boosted their chances of advancing to the top 4.
Hungary celebrated its fourth victory after an intense 122 minutes of play.
Leading the Montenegrin side was Saša Đurović, who scored 17 points, while Nikoleta Perović and Teodora Čavić contributed with 14 and 11 points, respectively, both reaching double figures.
Middle blocker Mina Dragović concluded the match with eight points.
The standout scorer of the match was Hungary’s point guard Ana Nemet, who netted 29 points.
Montenegro will wrap up its inaugural appearance in the Golden League tomorrow, facing Portugal at 18:00.
