Nurković, Jusuf, and Jahja Shine at the World Judo Championships as Vizer Secures Unanimous Reelection as IJF President

Representing Montenegrin judo at the World Championships in the “Laslo Pap” hall in Budapest are two competitors: Jusuf Nurković in the 66 kg category and Jahja Nurković in the 73 kg category.
A total of 556 athletes from 93 countries have registered. In the initial round, Jusuf Nurković will face Bulgarian Bojan Jotov, while Jahja Nurković has received a bye, courtesy of the draw. He will compete against the winner of the match between Brazil’s Danijela Sarahin and Germany’s Igor Vandtke in the second round, scheduled for the following day.
On the eve of this significant event, the IJF Congress convened in Budapest. It has been confirmed that Marius Vizer will continue as the President of the World Judo Federation for another four years, receiving unanimous support from the Congress delegates.
“Once again, I would like to express my gratitude for your trust, loyalty, cooperation, and support. You have my assurance that the new IJF Executive Committee and I will work even harder and more passionately for the future of judo,” stated Vizer.
A new Executive Committee was also elected, with Max-Hervé Georges, the IJF Director for International Partnerships, receiving unanimous backing. The Montenegrin Judo Federation was represented at the Congress by President Jovica Rečević and Secretary General Dragan Mrvaljević.
