The First League Returns to “DG Arena”: Mladost Celebrates Promotion Officially
Last season’s playoffs against Otrant-Olimpik ended tragically, but Mladost from Donja Gorica has made a swift comeback as a new/old participant in the Meridianbet First Montenegrin Football League.
The team from “DG Arena” has been viewed as a likely candidate for the top league for several rounds, and it became official today when they secured a 2:0 victory against Igalo on their home turf.
Marko Kažić netted the first goal in the 42nd minute, followed by an 86th-minute goal from Lazar Knežević.
With this win, Mladost has concluded their journey in this year’s Second League. As four rounds remain, Rudar and Lovćen, who clashed today at the Old Airport, are still vying for the playoffs.
Cetinje triumphed with a 2:0 scoreline, thanks to goals from Bojan Pavićević and Hinata Sakamaki. They now sit in third place, with a match still to play, five points clear of fourth-placed Igalo, and six points behind Rudar in second.
