The decline of Mornar Bar’s performance continues, and there is a significant possibility that they won’t compete in the strongest regional league next year. In the 23rd round of the AdmiralBet ABA League, Mornar faced a loss against SC Derby in “Topolica” with a score of 94:74.

Initially, Barani showcased a strong start, establishing an 11-point lead (22:11). However, by the end of the first quarter, the visitors had narrowed the gap to just five points, and at halftime, Mornar clung to a narrow two-point lead (43:41).

Desperate for improvement, the home team entered the third quarter but failed to score for nearly four minutes, allowing the guests to pull ahead with a nine-point lead (43:52).

The situation worsened for Barani at the start of the fourth quarter, where they went through a scoreless stretch of 4 minutes and 5 seconds, ultimately sealing the match’s outcome against them.

The “students” celebrated their eighth victory, while Barani was left with just one win and 22 losses, positioning them at the bottom of the league standings.

The notable rebounding advantage for the “students” was pivotal, achieving 16 offensive rebounds against the hosts’ eight. Overall, the rebound count stood at 47:33, favoring the winners.

Zoran Nikolić excelled with 23 points and 13 rebounds, while Donald Pember contributed 17 points for the losing side.
