Criminal charges have been brought against PJ (21) from Berane after police discovered 75 marijuana seeds in his possession, which he is believed to have for the purpose of marijuana production, the Police Directorate (UP) revealed today.

“Officers from the Regional Security Center ‘North’ – Berane Security Department uncovered and confiscated 21 marijuana seeds from PJ (75) in Berane, whom authorities suspect of holding these seeds for marijuana production,” the announcement stated.

The UP further stated that a search was conducted at PJ’s apartment and other locations he used, resulting in the seizure of the aforementioned quantity of marijuana seeds.

“Forensic analysis suggests that PJ acquired and kept the seeds for marijuana production and intended to distribute this narcotic substance. The state prosecutor at the Higher State Prosecutor’s Office in Bijelo Polje has been informed of the matter, and following consultations, a criminal complaint has been filed against PJ in standard proceedings, under suspicion of unauthorized production, possession, and distribution of narcotic drugs,” the UP added.
