Police Discover Rifles, Pistols, and Over 300 Rounds of Ammunition

A 60-year-old man identified as SJ from Danilovgrad was apprehended after authorities discovered two rifles, three handguns, and over 300 rounds of ammunition in his possession, as reported by the Police Directorate (UP) today.
According to the UP, officers from the Regional Security Center ‘Centar’ – Danilovgrad Security Department, as part of their ongoing efforts to locate illegal weapons, ammunition, and explosives, conducted a search in Danilovgrad. This operation led to the seizure of firearms and ammunition and the detention of one individual.
During the search of SJ’s residence and other locations he utilized, Danilovgrad police recovered: a Češka zbrojovka rifle with a round in the chamber and a shell casing in the barrel (licensed), an M48 rifle lacking proper documentation, an RR 51 Police pistol (licensed), a CZ pistol (licensed), a Beretta pistol without documentation, and a total of 301 rounds of various calibers and types.
The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office in Podgorica has been notified of the situation, leading to the arrest of SJ under suspicion of committing the offense of illegal possession and handling of weapons and explosives.
