Vladimir Gojković, the head coach of the water polo national team, has revealed the roster for the upcoming European Championship kicking off on January 4.
Our team will compete alongside Croatia, featuring 15 selected players.
The roster includes goalkeepers Dejan Lazović and Petar Tešanović, as well as players Draško Brguljan, Aljoša Mačić, Kanstantin Averka, Jovan Vujović, Vlado Popadić, Aleksa Ukropina, Đuro Radović, Miroslav Perković, Vladan Spaić, Dušan Matković, Vasilije Radović, Marko Mršić, and Stefan Vidović.
Experienced player Draško Brguljan makes a comeback after not playing since the Tokyo Olympic Games, and goalkeeper Dejan Lazović returns as well. Notably absent from the team, compared to the previous major tournament—the World Championship in Fukuoka—is Bogdan Đurđić.
Montenegro will be in Group A at the European Championship in Dubrovnik.
The first match will be against France on January 4 at 5:00 PM, followed by Spain on January 6 at 5:45 PM, and concluding with Croatia on January 8 at 8:15 PM.
Only the top two teams from the group will advance directly to the quarterfinals.
