UN Human Rights Chief Visits Montenegro

Volker Turk, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, is set to conduct an official visit to Montenegro on Monday, May 19th.
During his stay in Podgorica, Turk will engage in discussions with President Jakov Milatović, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ervin Ibrahimović, Ombudsman Siniša Bjeković, members of Parliament, and various other Montenegrin officials.
He will also hold meetings with civil society representatives, diplomats, and members of the UN team in the country.
At the conclusion of his visit, Turk will participate in a press conference, scheduled for Monday at 6 PM, at the UN Eco Building in Podgorica, as announced by the United Nations Office in Montenegro.
This visit to Montenegro is part of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights’ regional tour, which will also include a stop in Serbia.
