Saška Đurović Signs with Porto
Saška Đurović, a member of the Montenegrin volleyball team, is set to continue her career in Portugal. However, next season she will don the jersey of a different club—having previously played for Sporting, she is now joining Porto.
Following a successful season with Sporting, which included winning the Portuguese Cup, Đurović is moving to a team that outperformed her former club in the race for third place in the national championship playoffs, according to odbojka.me.
In the previous season, Saška distinguished herself as the top server in the Portuguese championship, racking up 40 aces. She also excelled as the leading middle blocker with 86 points and ranked as the sixth highest scorer in the league with a total of 174 points, boasting an impressive 48% success rate on her attacks and counterattacks.
Her volleyball journey began at Morača in Podgorica, followed by five seasons at Tenta in Obrenovac before she ventured abroad. She also represented the French club Saint-Raphaël and Red Star Belgrade, before making her way to Portugal last year.
Currently, Saška Đurović is with the Montenegrin national team, competing in the CEV Gold League, and is also expected to participate in the second round of the European Championship qualifications this summer.
