Đinović and Roganović Capture Gold in Shkodra
Montenegrin boxers Tomislav Đinović and Miloš Roganović wrapped up their participation in the international Vlaznija Memorial tournament in Shkodra with two gold medals.
After a convincing semi-final win against Italian Anton Torres at the Ćazim Derviši Hall, Đinović outperformed Kosovo’s Ljumturim Džonaj in the gold medal match for the 60 kg category.
Roganović claimed the gold in the 70 kg category with impressive prowess, knocking down Kosovo competitor Ljoris Idrizi twice during the final.
The BK Nikšić member secured victory with a unanimous decision, having earlier defeated the formidable Italian Dion Kurikavzin in the semifinals.
“I am incredibly proud of our fighters’ performance. Achieving two gold medals at such a prestigious tournament in Shkodra is a remarkable accomplishment. Both boxers faced tough challenges against strong opponents. Đinović and Roganović demonstrated bravery, tactical skill, and remarkable dedication, all resulting from hard work in training. This achievement reaffirms that we are on the right track,” stated national team coach Boško Drašković.
Coach Momčilo Zlatičanin was also part of the professional team in Shkodra, while coach Nikola Ružić attended the final matches.
The 13th edition of the tournament in Shkodra featured competitors from Montenegro, Italy, Poland, Kosovo, and host Albania.
The event was organized by the Boxing Federation of Albania, with sponsorship from the European Boxing Federation.
