New Firefighting Vehicle for Cetinje Firefighters
Today, the Protection and Rescue Service of the Royal Capital of Cetinje was presented with a new fire truck, delivered by Mayor Nikola Đurašković.
This specialized fire truck features a double cabin, a 5,000-liter water capacity, and 500 liters of foam. It includes four seats equipped with breathing apparatus, which the Royal Capital states “significantly enhances the safety and efficiency of firefighters during operations.”
Đurašković emphasized that the local government remains committed to investing in the resources and capabilities of the Protection and Rescue Service, aiming to ensure the safety of all citizens and a prompt response in emergencies.
“Recognizing the ongoing necessity to advance the capabilities of this Service and foster conditions for more effective and high-quality performance, the Royal Capital of Cetinje has acquired a special vehicle for the Protection and Rescue Service. For decades, Cetinje firefighters have represented the pride of the city and Montenegro as a whole. The Royal Capital is dedicated to addressing their needs through regular investments to enhance this unit’s operations,” stated Đurašković.
Miloš Ćećanović, Acting Commander of the Protection and Rescue Service, remarked that the new vehicle will greatly enhance the service’s operational capabilities.
“This is the first time the Protection and Rescue Service of the Royal Capital of Cetinje has access to a vehicle of this kind, which will greatly improve our operational capabilities and response times. Currently, we are limited to two vehicles due to insufficient equipment. I would like to express my gratitude to Mayor Đurašković and the Royal Capital of Cetinje for their dedication to enhancing the functions of our Service,” said Ćećanović.
The vehicle is valued at €483,996.99, including VAT.
