Samir Hajdarpašić (22) sustained severe injuries in an accident that occurred just before 5 PM on Bojana in Ulcinj, as reported by “Vijesti.”
According to unofficial sources, the young man was riding a scooter when, for reasons that remain unclear, he lost control and crashed into the terrace of a nearby building.
The Maritime Safety and Port Management Authority has confirmed that the scooter driver was transported to the Clinical Center of Montenegro.
“The Maritime Operations Center received a report of a maritime accident on Ada Bojana today, prompting an urgent dispatch of a search and rescue vessel with a crew. The incident occurred when the scooter operator lost control and collided with an object on the right side at the mouth of the Bojana River. He has been taken to KCCG. It is important to note that this accident transpired after a joint inspection of maritime activities at the Bojana River’s mouth by various authorities. Despite increased supervision and warnings, accidents continue to occur, highlighting the need for responsibility among all participants in maritime traffic. We urge everyone involved to follow navigation safety rules and not jeopardize their own lives or those of others,” the statement reads.
The Basic State Prosecutor’s Office (ODT) has previously confirmed to “Vijesti” that a young man was hurt in an accident earlier today.
“At around 5:00 PM, the duty prosecutor was notified of an accident on the Bojana River involving SH, who sustained bodily injuries while operating a vessel. An investigation is currently underway, led by traffic and maritime experts along with police officials in collaboration with the prosecutor. Evidence from the scene and accident traces are being collected for expert analysis,” the ODT’s response states.
